Fin Setup
Step 1
- Flip the board over. Ensure the fin slot is free of debris. You may want to lubricate the fin slot with a small amount of a petroleum based lubricant.
Step 2
- Remove fin screw and metal bracket from fin then re-attach the bracket to the tip of the screw as in the picture.
Step 3
- Holding the screw, insert the square bracket into the square hole in the center of the fin slot. Next, slide it towards the front of the board. Remove the screw from the bracket.
Step 4
- Insert the rear base of the fin into the fin slot through the square hole in the center of the fin slot.
Step 5
- Slide the base of the fin towards the rear of the board along the fin slot.
Step 6
- Bring the front of the fin down so that the hole in the front lines up with the metal bracket you installed in Step 3..
Step 7
- Insert the screw and hand tighten until firmly in place.
- (If you have a screw that requires a screw-driver, do not over tighten)
Step 8
- All done! Remember to remove the metal bracket when you disassemble the board later.
